The HANDICAP LAW dated July 2014 and its related standard, AFNOR BP P96-104, propose solutions for creating accurate signs to be placed in public or private Public Facilities.
Signs suited to all types of disabilities, in particular signs with text or pictographs in relief and Braille writing to provide accessibility, autonomy, and the participation of the visually impaired in compliance with Law No. 2014-789: Braille for blinds, and the relief and colour contrast for the visually impaired.
To be in compliance, door signs must be positioned at a height of between 0.90 and 1.30 m to be easily read by everyone, whether sitting or standing
